Kickboxing Class

A current community association membership is required for registration.

 

  1. kids Kickboxing (ages 6-12) is a fun interactive class where children get fit and learn self-control, body awareness, strength and flexibility while learning basic kickboxing technique. (Note: there is no contact and no sparring. )
  2.  Adult and Teen (ages 13 plus) kickboxing and conditioning class is a high energy class which incorporates cardio, balance, flexibility, body weighted strength training, agility, coordination, and core strength exercises. Participants learn basic kickboxing and  martial arts techniques. It promotes the enhancement of self esteem, improves overall fitness, while  learning basic self-defence in a fun and creative environment.
  3. The Adult and Teens  Focus Mitt Training  class (ages 13 plus) uses partners and focus mitts/pads and hand protection(boxing gloves, MMA gloves or hand wraps). Participants Learn boxing strikes and kicks as well as basic blocking techniques. The class aLeo incorporates Kickboxing combinations to make you feel like an amateur kickboxer. There is no sparring or contact in the focus class, where the drills  involve using the focus mitts and some light blocking and striking by participants.  (participants need to be ready to both hold focus mitts/pads for their partners and to be striking mitts/pads).
